Our roofing carpenters receive hundreds of hours of classroom and hands-on instruction at fully equipped training centers around the region. Initial training for apprentices and skill-enhancement courses for journeymen are taught by industry veterans or industry and manufacturer technical experts. Subjects range from basic skills to new technologies, tools and/or installation methods. And, training is ongoing throughout the career of every carpenter roofer.

Special Attention to Safety

Safety is an equal deliverable with cost and scheduling. We build a safety partnership with contractors to protect our crews and the owner’s investment on every jobsite. We help remove job site injuries, work stoppages and higher project costs due to illness or accidents, worker disabilities and workers’ compensation claims, and death.

The safety standards of a Southeastern Carpenter are clear:

  • Instill a core value of safe work from apprentices to superintendent via intense training
  • Operate from a joint safety program with GCs, PMs, specifiers, and owners to identify, assess, monitor, manage and eliminate risks
