Consistent use of medication (taking your medications on time and at the correct dose every day) is one of the most important things you can do to help prevent a breakthrough seizure. If you are having trouble accessing your medication, we can help you.
If your prescription has run out, generally speaking, your doctor will want you to come in for an evaluation before they will renew your prescription. They may be willing to extend your prescription for a very short term if you have an upcoming appointment. It can be very difficult to get an appointment with some doctors, so be sure to plan ahead!
There are a number of prescription assistance programs that you may be eligible for. You can find a list of them here: Prescription Drug Programs
We may be able to help you to find health insurance that works for you. See available resources here: Health Insurance
If you need your medications right away, and cannot wait until one of these other programs kicks in, you may qualify for our ONE-TIME ONLY medication assistance program. You can find out more information here: Emergency Medication
