How We Can Help

How We Can Help...

...When you have lost a loved one to epilepsy

Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things to go through in life, and unfortunately sometimes epilepsy and seizures are to blame. Seizure-related accidents, suicide, and Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) are examples of ways that epilepsy can be fatal. You can learn more about SUDEP through our Mason Langford Center on SUDEP.

If you have recently lost a loved one to epilepsy, you can visit the resource page of our Mason Langford Center on SUDEP for information about grief counseling. You can also contact us if you would like to talk to someone who has experienced a similar loss, and we will try to help you connect with a peer.

If you are interested in making a memorial donation, you can visit our memorial donation page. If you provide the mailing address for the family who lost a loved one, we will send them an acknowledgement card.
