FLCRC Political Information Center

Welcome to the Political Information Center for the Florida Carpenters Regional Council. Our Council is actively involved in politics on the federal, state and local levels, and we help our individual members to speak in a strong, unified voice. We practice “Carpenter Politics,” an inclusive and non-partisan effort to support candidates who champion the goals of working people, promote needed infrastructure investments, and support fair trade.

The UBC has set up an Election Center, where you can get a list of candidates in your area who stand with us on carpenter core issues. You can also check your registration, pledge to vote, and print the list of Union Carpenter-Friendly candidates to review. https://www.carpenters.org/election-center/

Political activity is an important function of our Locals and Council. Members are encouraged to attend government meetings and public hearings where issues affecting them are discussed and to reach out directly to the officials they helped elect. Get involved! We need every carpenters’ voice to be heard in our halls of government!

Locally, use this link from Common Cause to you find your representatives, how to contact them, bills they’ve introduced, committees they serve on, and political contributions they’ve received: https://www.commoncause.org/find-your-representative/
