This report, led by Vibrant Pittsburgh and PittsburghTODAY, highlights how the southwestern Pennsylvania workforce lacks diversity, posing a major challenge for the region.
The report finds that minority workers in southwestern Pennsylvania claim a much smaller share of the workforce than minorities in any of the 14 peer regions to which the Greater Pittsburgh area was compared. It is the first of a continuing series of reports that will examine workforce diversity issues in the Pittsburgh region.
