Vibrant Pittsburgh is pleased to announce that Patricia (Patti) Bucek has been hired for the position of National Director of Marketing and Talent Attraction. Ms. Bucek, a Pittsburgh native currently living in the Harrisburg area, will succeed Yvonne English Roebuck and will start on April 17, 2017.

 Ms. Bucek comes to Vibrant Pittsburgh from the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and Capital Region Economic Development Corporation where she served as Vice President. She joined that organization in 2014 and had previously been the Vice President of Chamber Operations. Prior to joining the Chamber, she was the Executive Director of the Kidney Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, the Director of Business Development for Senior Health Management and a Program Director for PinnacleHealth System (Harrisburg).

“Pittsburgh is home for me” Ms. Bucek said in a press release issued by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and Capital Region Economic Development Corporation. “This opportunity came about and it just sounded like the job was written for me.” In her new role with Vibrant Pittsburgh, Ms. Bucek will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s employer relationships and managing and coordinating the promotion of the region and market outreach initiatives to diverse talent both locally and nationally.

Yvonne English Roebuck served in this position for over four years before deciding to step down. She will consult with Vibrant Pittsburgh and assist Ms. Bucek during the transition. “Patti will bring her new perspective and invaluable experience to the role that Yvonne developed and strengthened,” said Melanie Harrington, President/CEO of Vibrant Pittsburgh. “Because of the work that Yvonne dedicated herself to over the years, Vibrant Pittsburgh has built a core group of employer members that have worked together to attract and retain a diversity of talent for the Pittsburgh region. Patti will build on Yvonne’s work coordinating diverse talent attraction strategies; building relationships with more regional employers; and collaborating with strategic community partners.
